Terms & Conditions
Last updated: August 2026
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the PawPal mobile app and website, operated by PawPal, a proprietorship owned by Deveshkumar Shitla Yadav ("PawPal", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using PawPal, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. What PawPal is
PawPal is a marketplace that connects dog owners ("Owners") with independent dog walkers ("Walkers") for on-demand, scheduled dog-walking services. PawPal facilitates the booking, payment, and coordination of walks — the walk itself is performed by the Walker, who is an independent service provider, not an employee of PawPal.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an Owner or Walker account.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials and OTPs confidential, and for all activity under your account.
- Walkers must complete PawPal's onboarding process, including identity verification and a background check, before accepting bookings. PawPal may approve, reject, suspend, or reinstate a Walker account at its discretion, based on safety and quality standards.
3. Bookings and walks
- Owners can book a 30-minute or 60-minute walk at a flat, platform-set price shown in the app at the time of booking.
- A booking is confirmed once payment is captured. Walks are started and ended using a one-time PIN (OTP) shared between the Owner and Walker, to confirm both parties were present at the correct time.
- Owner and Walker contact details (phone number, exact address) are shared with each other only for the duration of an active, accepted booking, and are hidden again once the walk is completed or cancelled.
- Owners are responsible for providing accurate information about their dog, including any behavioral concerns, health conditions, and vaccination status, so the Walker can provide the walk safely.
4. Payments
All payments are processed securely through Razorpay. By making a payment, you agree to Razorpay's applicable terms in addition to these Terms. PawPal does not store your card or bank details. Walkers receive their share of the booking amount, less PawPal's platform commission, credited to their in-app wallet after a walk is marked complete, and can withdraw their balance to their registered bank account.
5. Cancellations, no-shows, and refunds
Cancellation and refund eligibility depends on how far in advance a booking is cancelled, and who cancels it. Full details are in our Cancellation & Refund Policy.
6. Conduct
- Owners and Walkers agree to treat each other respectfully and to use the app only for its intended purpose.
- Any safety incident during a walk should be reported immediately through the in-app incident report feature or to PawPal support.
- PawPal may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraud, or pose a safety risk to others.
7. Disputes
If a walk does not go as expected (e.g. a reported no-show, a service issue), Owners and Walkers can raise a dispute through the app or by emailing hellopawpalpets@gmail.com. PawPal will review the booking, walk records, and any evidence provided, and determine an outcome, including refunds or compensation, at its reasonable discretion.
8. Limitation of liability
PawPal facilitates connections between Owners and Walkers but is not responsible for the independent actions of Walkers or the conduct of Owners' pets, beyond the verification and dispute-resolution processes described in these Terms. To the maximum extent permitted by law, PawPal's liability for any claim arising from use of the service is limited to the amount paid for the booking giving rise to the claim.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of PawPal after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
